    Bluegrass singer John Starling dies in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was a founding member of The Seldom Scene in 1971 and won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album with Carl Jackson for "Spring Training" in 1992. Starling also sang harmonies on "Those Memories Of You," by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris
