Oct 17, 1941Guitarist Jim Seals is born in Sidney, Texas. A cousin of country singer Dan Seals, he's best known as one half of the 1970s pop duo Seals & Crofts. In 1965, he takes part in Buck Owens' recording session for "Before You Go"Oct 4, 1980Glen Campbell sings "Southern Nights" with host Dionne Warwick on the syndicated music show "Solid Gold." He also does two songs with Tanya Tucker. Other guests on the episode include the Vince Gill-led Pure Prairie League plus Seals & CroftsJun 6, 2022Jim Seals dies. He was one-half of the pop duo Seals & Crofts, known for "Summer Breeze," "Hummingbird" and "Get Closer." Seals also played guitar on the Buck Owens country hit "Before You Go"
