    Former John Denver bass player Dick Kniss dies in Saugerties, New York. A member of Denver's backing band from 1970-1978, Kniss played on "Thank God I'm A Country Boy," "Annie's Song" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads," among others. He also co-wrote "Sunshine On My Shoulders"
