He becomes a founding member of the vocal group The Jordanaires, although he leaves by 1955 and is not a part of the ensemble that is eventually elected to the Country Music Hall of FameJun 26, 1980Bass vocalist Culley Holt, of The Jordanaires, dies in Missouri. Holt helped found the quartet in 1948, although he left before the group hit its stride, and was not in the lineup that eventually found its way into the Country Music Hall of Fame
