    Guitarist Jeff Cook dies after a battle with Parkinson's disease at his home in Destin, Florida. He was a founding member of Alabama, who led groups to prominence after breaking out with their country/rock hybrid in the 1980s. The band was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005
