    Loretta Lynn dies in her sleep at home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She brought a brash honesty to the genre, never losing the humble outlook of her rural youth, documented in "Coal Miner's Daughter." Lynn was the first women to win the CMA's Entertainer of the Year in 1972 and  joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988
