    Hank Williams auditions for publisher Fred Rose at Acuff-Rose Publishing in Nashville. Rose signs Williams to a songwriting contract and ultimately becomes his record producer. Under the agreement, Williams writes such classics as "Jambalaya (On The Bayou)," "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"
